Stodacom Verified Profile
How verification works
A Verified Profile lets someone prove facts about themselves to an employer -- or about their business to a bank, client or supplier. Each fact is checked by Stodacom staff -- not by the person -- and every check is permanently recorded.
The person adds their claims
Their ID, qualifications, work history, address, licence and references, with supporting documents.
Stodacom verifies each one
A trained verifier checks it against the document or the original source and records the method and date.
They share it with you
Through a private link, share code or QR code -- showing only what they chose, only while the link is live.
What we check, and how often
Identity
The government ID the person holds -- read on our own servers, its machine-readable zone check digits validated -- plus a live video or selfie matched to the ID photo. A verifier confirms both. The name on the verified ID is the name shown on shared profiles.

Re-checked: 270 daysWhat "Verified" means
- A trained Stodacom verifier checked the item against evidence or the original source, using the method shown next to it.
- Each check gets a permanent audit ID (e.g. STV-000123). Records can’t be edited afterwards.
- For identity, the person records a short live video (or a selfie holding a one-time code). It’s matched to their ID photo on our own servers and confirmed by a verifier. That photo is shown on the profile, so you can confirm it’s the person in front of you.
- What was verified is fixed at that moment. If the person changes the details, the item is checked again before it shows as verified.
- Verifications go stale: each item shows a Valid until date, after which it must be re-checked.
Statuses you may see
Checking a copy
Only the live page on this website counts -- a printout, PDF, screenshot or forwarded email can be edited. Every shared profile shows a share code (e.g. VP-7K3F-9Q2M-XP) and a QR code. Scan it or enter the code to open the live version; if it doesn’t open one, the copy isn’t valid.

Privacy
Shared profiles never show ID or licence numbers, dates of birth, street addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or referees’ names. Documents are processed on Stodacom’s own servers. The person decides what to share, can revoke a link at any time, and sees when it was viewed.
Verified businesses
A verified individual can have their business verified: that it exists, who may act for it, who runs it and who owns it. It’s for businesses registered anywhere in Africa, and is shared the same way -- by private link, share code (VB-7K3F-9Q2M-XP), QR code or PDF certificate.
Registration
The business is registered with the official registry under its name and number, and its current status there -- confirmed at the registry, not just from a certificate.

- Every verified business, its directors and owners are screened daily against sanctions, debarment and politically exposed person lists. A confirmed match is shown on its page in red.
- When something changes -- a new director, a new owner, a renewed licence -- the business reports it and it is checked again. Until then the page says a change is being checked.
Checking a business
Open the link the business sent you, scan its QR code, or enter its VB- share code. The page always shows the current position, and the documents behind it are never shown -- only what was verified, when, and its audit ID.

For individuals
Creating a profile is free. Pay only for what you verify -- by card or mobile money (UGX, KES, TZS, RWF, GHS, ZMW).

Registering a business is free. One payment covers every item for 12 months -- by card or mobile money.
